Pat and Emilie are the owners and founders of Cielo Glamping Maritime, a four-season eco-tourism accommodation site that opened in January 2019.

Cielo is located along the shores of Baie St-Simon, where guests can enjoy breathtaking sunsets from one of five luxurious domes. These domes, known as the “Perles,” are true mini homes featuring a full kitchen, a bathroom with a glass shower, a Big Green Egg charcoal barbecue, a hammock, a seasonal outdoor shower, and year-round electric hot tubs.

To offer a complete experience to their guests and showcase local products, Pat and Emilie created the Hub—a space built on sharing resources and fostering connections between community members, visitors, and local producers. The Hub supports the development, production, promotion, and sale of new local products. The Cielo site also includes extensive gardens where they grow vegetables, berries, and edible flowers, which are then transformed in the Cielo kitchen.

Since opening Cielo and the Hub, the team has created nearly 40 new products, made either on-site in their commercial kitchen or in collaboration with regional producers.

The Hub’s unique dining concept revolves around discovering these products, along with those from other New Brunswick producers. Guests can select items directly from the Hub’s gourmet boutique, which the dedicated team then transforms into beautiful Cielo sharing boards. These can be paired with local beers, wines, or signature cocktails crafted with regional spirits.

To help local producers reach new markets, Cielo has also been offering customized corporate gift boxes to regional businesses for the past two years, with a strong focus during the holiday season.

Cielo is proud to be a tourism business with international recognition, having been featured in numerous publications and television programs such as La Presse, Châtelaine, The Globe and Mail, National Geographic Traveler, Condé Nast Traveler, The Amazing Race Canada, NBC Today, and The New York Times, among others.
